Junior Tennis High Intensity Training (HITT)

Strand wants to make sure the athletes are both in shape and in good form. The best plan of action is to implement a 50/50 formula, where fitness and tennis are both in balance.

Given many of these selected players are coming for training 3-4 times a week for two hour depending on their school schedules, they will need to go through a thorough warm up routine and stretch period before practice finishes.

Practice sessions will be form based and game based, in which players are looking at how they can improve their understanding of stroke production as well as using the various tactics that will be shared with them in detail.

In the flow of a classes, coaches will stop many times, as we are looking at transferring as much information to players as possible to improve their tennis IQ. Our professionals will give feedback and the entire class will be required to stop and pay attention.

In these classes we are going to be highlighting the Zones of the court, strategies, both singles and doubles, grips, swing and body balances , tennis math, mental toughness, statistics etc.
In the last session of each week we will have practice matches, which will rotate each week.

We are therefore going to strongly advise the players to take it upon themselves to contact other fellow players to organize weekend practice matches, at least two matches every weekend. This will clearly improve their match form as well as their understanding of the different situations they come across in different scenarios and how to deal with them.

Our plus program, adds our tournament evaluation model.

Parents or players will communicate with Strand on which tournaments they are most likely to participate and together we will assign a professional to supervise them while they compete. There will be a pregame and post game evaluation, follow by a written analysis.

Please txt or call 908 578 7634 or email talk2us@strandtc.com to reserve a spot in either program.
